Three Wheeled Buggies
Three-wheeled buggies are great for strolling around the neighborhood or running. Their compact design makes it easy to maneuver even in tight places.
If you want a smooth ride on your pram, choose models with 360deg front wheels with swivel. They are, however, susceptible, to punctures. Be prepared with an emergency repair kit.
Sturdy frame
The latest figures have been released showing that the three-wheeled vehicle which was a symbol of the decade of more money than sense is in a decline. They've been replaced with four-wheelers that can handle a wider variety of terrain, while still looking elegant and easy to push.
The larger the wheels are, the more your buggy will be able to deal with bumpy surfaces and uneven pavements. With larger wheels front and back makes it much easier to maneuver and more stable when walking downhill or on rough terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tried this buggy on a newborn baby and a toddler and found it very durable. It was able to withstand cobbles, grass, and rough pavements, as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said "it feels sturdy to push and is very stable when traversing difficult terrain. The tyres, which are inflated and require to be pumped up regularly they have suspension built-in. This was very comfortable for my kids.
Another thing to think about is the size of the seat and shape. It is important for the seat to be large enough for your child to be at ease and to lie down. Certain three-wheel buggies have a full lie-flat option while others only allow for an adult facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or wet walks. This buggy is ideal for a single child starting from birth and can be modified to accommodate two children as your family expands. Larger wheels
Larger wheels give your buggy more stability while driving on rough terrain. This is ideal for off-road buggies. They also allow you to navigate the pushchair through tight spaces. Many three wheeled buggies have the front wheels that swivel to aid you in maneuvering around corners with ease, whereas others are specifically designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability at the speed at which they can be pushed. This is particularly useful when you bump against trees or a kerb. 3 wheeler pushchairs will be lifted slightly to prevent hitting it.
Many 3 wheeled pushchairs have air-filled tyres, which allows them to navigate a wide range of terrains. They are also more flexible than 4 wheelers. They are also lighter. They are prone to punctures, so you'll require a repair kit and spare inner tube on hand.

Both of these buggies come with larger wheels that, as per MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on gravel tracks, grass and market town cobbles" and can easily move up and down kerbs. They also come with a suspension system that in her words "smoothes out bumps very effectively".
The downside of having larger wheels is that they make buggies quite large and may struggle to squeeze through narrow spaces. This is an issue if you're using it as an exercise bike or to maneuver through doors that are narrow when out and out and about. The majority of models come with compact folding options that allow you to remove the front wheels and store them in a more compact manner.
Easy to Manoeuvre
One of the major advantages to a three-wheeled buggy is that it is much more maneuverable especially with a child on the way. The way in which they are constructed means that the front wheels rotate at a whim and are extremely easy to manoeuvre which makes them perfect for difficult terrains like cobbles, parks and bumpy pavements as well as dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tested a 3 wheeler with her newborn and toddler and stated: "The Terrain was a pleasure to navigate over the rough terrain with the swivel rear wheel being particularly helpful. I was also amazed by the way it dealt with kerbs using the hand-operated break. It was very stable going downhill or on a rough terrain."
The only drawback to this incredible maneuverability is that the larger wheels of the 3 wheel buggy might make it difficult to fit into tight spaces. This is something you should be aware of when your home is a city. If this is an issue then a 4-wheeler might be a better option for you.
